4 Must-Do Experiences to Keep You Cool This Summer
- Run through the sprinklers. Head to one of Seattle’s many spray parks and wading pools! Bonus: While you’re out there, be sure to check out the solar flowers at Seattle Center (outside the Pacific Science Center) and solar picnic shelters at Jackson Park. So Cool.
- Hang out at the library. With 26 locations, it’s easy to find a Seattle Public Library near you. Enjoy free access to books, computers and yes, air conditioning. Bonus tip: Library card holders are also eligible for free museum passes!
- Head to your local coffee shop. Buy an iced coffee and take a break from the heat while you read the book you grabbed earlier at the library. Bonus tip: Many coffee shops offer refills for pennies so you can stay as long as you like!
- Into the woods. The North Cascades offer a variety of outdoor adventures. From camping to hiking to whitewater rafting. While you’re there, take notice of where your electricity comes from – cool off on a Skagit Tour boat ride and get up close and personal with your carbon free hydroelectricity at Ross Dam.
